[note: the reason this tree gets so much use is because I usually walk outside with my knitting and think "where would be a good place to take a picture that's pretty, clean, and dry." It's usually this tree.]
During my most recent trip to Asheville, I was talked into buying some of Southwest Trading Company’s new sock yarn, TOFUtsie. On the way back I decided to just try out the yarn and I started swatching. I really didn’t like the way it looked and for the next few weeks, I was uninspired to knit anymore until one morning as I was headed for the bus I realized I had nothing to knit as I had decreased down to the grafting on my “Child’s First Sock” from Nancy Bush’s Knitting Vintage Socks. (The toe still needs to be grafted, no rush since it’s no longer wool sock season here.)
I had only knit a few rows on the ribbing, geez, this is a really boring post. Do you really care about my bus ride and the thought process for me decided to knit and frog A STOCKINETTE SOCK. How boring! This is why I haven’t blogged in a month. I FEEL SO BORING.
The yarn pooled funny.
I didn’t like the patterning.
So I frogged it.
Here’s a photo of the sock pre-frogging. Photos of its new incarnation coming soon.

Actually, I found your post quite interesting! In 2 years of knittign I never knittep socks. Can you believe it?
I can relate to the frog a knitted piece as I had to frog a sewater yesterday. So I felt a little better to know I wasn’t the only one.
The yarn pooling in your socks is quite unusual but something tells me it will look great with a different stitch. Do post about the new projects you will start with this yarn,
[...] and here’s a little teaser of my most recent FO in SWTC’s Tofutsies. I blogged about it back in May after frogging a first attempt. I am currently in love with these socks, it’s too [...]
